Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is upgrading its reservation system and digital channels to drive more pre-cruise purchases and onboard revenue.
Onboard spending already helped the company’s third quarter and was up year-over-year.
John Chidsey, CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, said the company was focused on increasing pre-cruise purchases and growing onboard revenue per passenger day.
The company is enhancing its reservation system to make booking easier and give it more flexibility to offer guests upgrades and other personalized options, which Chidsey said would create additional revenue opportunities over time. All three brand (Norwegian, Oceania and Regent) are also improving their websites and apps to convert more interest into bookings.
