Vipin Vohra, Chairman, Continental Carriers, said, “NMIA is in a critical ramp-up and transition phase as operations shift from Mumbai airport. The transition must be supported by infrastructure, manpower, handling, and security equipment to ensure efficiency. Reports of cargo lying outside the terminal and getting damaged due to rain are concerns requiring immediate solution. A coordinated, phased transition, with stakeholder consultation, and operational readiness is essential to ensure cargo safety, prevent damage and maintain supply-chain continuity.”
