Earlier this week, OceanScore, the administrator of the Environmental Ship Index (ESI), held a dedicated webinar for incentive providers, encouraging them to revisit and review upcoming changes to the scheme and to ensure their incentive structures are appropriate. With two months remaining until a major change in ESI methodology comes online, the ports of Gothenburg, Yokohama and Tallinn, as well as Oslo Havn, HAROPA Port and Hamburg Port Authority, were on hand to provide practical examples of how they have adjusted their incentive schemes. You can catch up now on this critical overview of ESI 2.0 via the on-demand edition – the recording of the webinar can be accessed here and the relevant presentations are available here. If you have further questions, please email IAPH’s contact points for ESI at OceanScore: Thomas Smith (ESI Core discussions, methodology implications, webinars) and André Silva (operational and portal-related questions).
