Panama has invited Tamil Nadu businesses to explore its potential as a distribution and logistics base for Latin America. A Chennai roundtable brought together maritime, pharmaceutical and advisory firms to discuss market access, shipping services and investment opportunities. The engagement remains exploratory, with no specific commercial agreements announced.
Panama–Tamil Nadu trade cooperation was the focus of a business roundtable in Chennai on 23 October 2026, as Panama sought closer links with the state’s maritime services and pharmaceutical industries.
Panama’s Ambassador to India, Alonso Correa Miguel, met representatives of more than 25 companies and institutions at the event organized by Anaika Global.
Discussions covered shipping, logistics, pharmaceutical exports, manufacturing and investment. The ambassador presented Panama’s location and transport infrastructure as potential advantages for businesses seeking customers across Central and South America.
