Saudi Aramco is studying an expansion of East-West pipeline capacity to maintain export flexibility amid the Middle East conflict.
In its third quarter 2026 results presentation, the oil company said it is undertaking preliminary engineering for the East-West pipeline capacity expansion, assessing alternative routes via the master gas system and increasing throughput through existing routes and infrastructure.
Aramco said its maximum sustainable capacity (MSC)-12 built-in and available production capacity provides operational flexibility to rapidly increase production and capture high-value cash flows when needed.
Major projects continue to progress as planned, with Zuluf crude oil increment completed, with up to 600 million barrels per day (bpd) likely to be processed before the end of 2026.
