The Valencia Port Authority has awarded the contract for the refurbishment of the steel structure of the elevated seafront promenade in the La Marina area of the Port of Valencia.
The contract has been awarded to the joint venture SORIGUE ACSA CONSERVACIÓN DE INFRAESTRUCTURAS and ACSA OBRAS E INFRAESTRUCTURAS, with a budget of EUR 2,257,841 including VAT and an expected completion period of 15 months.
The works encompass cleaning, repair and treatment of the steel structure to improve long-term preservation, repair of the benches and pergola located at the end of the promenade near the port entrance, and improvements to the safety and functionality of the pedestrian walkway including upgrades to access stairways, railings and lighting.
To encourage the use of renewable energy, the use of electricity generators and compressors powered by combustion engines will be avoided, and materials suitable for reuse must be managed by an authorised waste management operator.
