Available on the company’s website, the tool compares fuel costs alongside regulatory expenses and potential financial benefits from emissions compliance. It also illustrates how the economics change over time as carbon pricing and decarbonisation requirements evolve.

The calculator addresses the limitations of comparing fuels solely by price per tonne, where biofuels can appear more expensive than conventional alternatives. By incorporating factors such as EU Allowance prices, FuelEU pooling and Scope 3 insets, it provides a broader view of potential costs and savings.
