One of the highlights of the edition is the interview with Luiz Fernando GarciaCEO of the port authority, who details the sector’s main challenges and strategic projects, reinforcing the need to anticipate demands and eliminate historical operational bottlenecks.

At the center of this transformation is Moegão, considered one of the largest port infrastructure projects being carried out in Brazil. The project was developed to resolve critical operational limitations, especially in rail freight reception in the export corridor.

With the centralization of operations, the system eliminates railway maneuvers that previously directly impacted logistical efficiency and urban flow. The new structure will allow operating capacity to be increased from approximately 500 to up to 900 wagons per day, creating a significant leap in productivity.

In addition to the operational gain, the project strengthens sustainability by encouraging rail transport, reducing emissions and improving integration with the city.

The work is part of a package exceeding R$5 billion in direct investments in port infrastructure. At the same time, private terminals are also advancing in modernization processes, with billion-dollar contributions aimed at expanding capacity and improving efficiency.

Another strategic axis highlighted in the program is the concession of the waterway access channel, which will allow the operational draft to be increased from 13.3 to 15.5 meters. This change makes it possible to operate larger ships, with a significant increase in cargo capacity per trip.

The logistical transformation also extends to the road sector. The state of Paraná has already granted more than 3,300 kilometers of highways, with a forecast of around R$90 billion in investments, promoting greater fluidity in the flow of cargo to the ports.

The set of these actions demonstrates an integrated strategy, where railway, highway, terminals and maritime access evolve in a coordinated manner. The objective is clear: to ensure that no link in the logistics chain becomes a bottleneck in the face of growing demand.

With this structured planning, Paraná not only responds to current needs, but also anticipates the future, preparing its infrastructure to sustain economic development in the coming decades.
