The project, considered a milestone for the sector, was created with the aim of strengthening the academic and technical training of professionals linked to logistics, foreign trade and port operations.

Alongside the Minister of Ports and Airports, Tomé Franca, Pomini highlighted that the initiative provides for the offering of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, connecting the practice of the largest port in Latin America with specialized university training.

The proposal comes at a strategic moment for the Port of Santos, which is experiencing a new cycle of expansion, with investments in infrastructure, capacity expansion and terminal modernization.

The university should act as a talent development hub, preparing the workforce for challenges such as automation, decarbonization, logistics management and innovation in the maritime sector.

For specialists in the segment, the announcement represents an important advance in bringing the academic environment closer to the real demands of the port market, creating opportunities for students, professionals and companies operating throughout the logistics chain.

The expectation is that new details about the curriculum, institutional partnerships and implementation schedule will be released in the coming months.
