To participate in the selection process, you must be over 18 years old and interested in building an international career in the cruise industry, which includes availability for long-term embarkations, generally between seven and eight months of work outside Brazil.

The program seeks people willing to invest in a professional career in the global hospitality, tourism and services market.

It is not necessary to speak English to participate in the project. More than a job opportunity, a career on cruise ships is recognized as an experience of accelerated professional and personal development.

In addition to the possibility of receiving salaries in dollars or euros, often with commissions and tips, professionals have the opportunity to improve languages, interact with people of dozens of nationalities, get to know different countries and cultures and build a highly competitive CV in the global market.

For many young people, this is the first opportunity to become true citizens of the world, expanding horizons, accumulating international experiences and transforming their future perspectives.

Registration can be made between June 8th and 17th, exclusively through the project website (deck4.org.br/jovens-tripulantes).

At this stage, candidates must complete a socioeconomic-cultural questionnaire, an instrument used to evaluate the profile of participants and support the selection process.

After registrations close, the documentation and responses will be analyzed by the Deck4 Foundation technical team, made up of professionals from the social and educational areas, who will carry out the selection based on the criteria established in the notice and the socioeconomic indicators presented by the candidates.

The final list of those selected for the 2026 edition of the program will be announced on June 19th, at 5 pm, on the institution’s official channels.

Subsequently, successful candidates will participate in the course registration and integration process, with classes scheduled to begin on June 29th.

With almost 20 years of experience in Brazil, Deck4 develops programs aimed at democratizing access to international careers, especially for young people and adults who often encounter economic and social barriers to dreaming of professional opportunities outside the country.

Throughout its history, the institution has impacted the lives of thousands of people through professional qualification initiatives, productive inclusion and access to the international job market.

The more than 2,400 job openings planned for the 2026/2027 Brazilian season, which will begin in November this year with eight ships operating until April next year, should include roles in different areas of ship operations, including positions such as cleaning assistants, waiter assistants, chambermaids, entertainers, receptionists, photographers, duty-free store salespeople, food and beverage attendants and kitchen professionals.

The variety of positions makes the cruise industry one of the most accessible entry points for those looking for their first international work experience.

The cruise sector remains among the fastest growing tourism and hospitality industries in the world, driving job creation and international work opportunities.

For many program participants, the onboard experience represents not only a professional opportunity, but a life transformation.

In addition to traveling to different countries, getting to know new cultures and developing intercultural skills, crew members also have the opportunity to improve their English and other languages, significantly expanding their future possibilities in the global market.

Another factor that arouses the interest of young people and people in socially vulnerable situations is the potential for generating income.

Although some entry roles allow applications with a basic or intermediate level of English, approval depends on adequate technical and behavioral preparation.

Once hired to work on board, a professional can receive salaries ranging between US$750 and US$4,000 in the first contract, depending on the role performed.

With contracts that normally last between seven and eight months, many professionals are able to build a significant financial reserve, helping to support their families, carry out personal projects and build new life perspectives.

Many alumni of Deck4’s social programs now work internationally, live outside Brazil and have had their trajectories profoundly impacted by the opportunity to enter the cruise industry.

The sustainability of these actions is directly linked to the operating model developed by the institution.

As a non-profit organization, the Deck4 Foundation adopts a sustainable social reinvestment system, in which resources from professional training programs are fully invested in the maintenance and expansion of free social projects.

In practice, hundreds of people who invest annually in their own training to enter the cruise market contribute so that the organization can offer free training opportunities to candidates in situations of vulnerability or social risk.

The model allows the professional qualification of a generation to finance the access of new generations to opportunities that would often be beyond their reach, strengthening the institution’s commitment to inclusion, equity and social mobility.

According to André Vieira, founder and president of the Deck4 Foundation, expectations for the next cruise season in Brazil reinforce the importance of professional training and democratizing access to opportunities in the sector.

“The 2026/2027 season will be the biggest ever after the pandemic. Companies must hire more than two thousand Brazilians, a number that corresponds to the mandatory 25% of hiring of national labor, provided for in legislation for companies that operate for more than 30 days in Brazilian waters.

This requirement strengthens the job market in the country, helps to consolidate the cruise activity in Brazil and generates employment opportunities for thousands of people”, he highlights.

According to Fabrício Brito, founder of Deck4, the association’s mission is to ensure that these opportunities are accessible to different audiences, especially those historically removed from the formal job market. “Our commitment is to democratize access to an international career.

The social project exists to ensure that a person’s potential is more important than their financial condition.

Therefore, Young Crew members are offered to candidates from all over Brazil and prioritize, throughout the selection process, people in situations of vulnerability or social risk, trans people, black people, the LGBTQIAPN+ population, single mothers and indigenous peoples.

We want these vacancies to be real instruments for transforming lives, autonomy and productive inclusion.”

The course will be carried out in a distance learning (EAD) format, offering technical and behavioral training focused on the requirements of the cruise, hospitality and tourism industry, preparing participants for selection processes and boarding opportunities.
