With azimuthal propulsion, static traction (bollard pull) of 70 tons and capacity to support the largest ships, operating in Brazil, in docking and undocking maneuvers, the new vessel will operate in the Port of Santos, the largest port complex in Latin America.

Its modern design allows for a reduction in fuel consumption, directly contributing to reducing emissions. Versatile, the WS Capella also has a fire fighting system with a capacity of 2,400,000 liters / hour of water (FiFi 1).
The vessel’s godmother will be Flávia Carvalho, executive director of the Wilson Sons Maritime Agency. The new tugboats are part of the strategy to renew and expand the Wilson Sons fleet, which now has 83 vessels, which operate along the Brazilian coast, and reinforce the company’s commitment to safety, efficiency and sustainability of operations.
Márcio Castro, executive director of the Tugboats division at Wilson Sons, highlights that the new vessels strengthen the national logistics chain. “With its power, WS Capella will fully meet the necessary requirements for safely handling increasingly larger ships, generating income, strengthening port infrastructure, which directly contributes to the Brazilian economy”, states Castro. For Adalberto Souza, executive director of the Wilson Sons Shipyard, “the company invests in cutting-edge technology in the construction of the vessels we take to the market and, for this, it relies on the high qualifications of our professionals, always seeking operational excellence”.
