TechnipFMC to deliver flexible flowlines and risers to Eni in Côte d’Ivoire

Alongside the existing Baleine developments, Phase 3 will increase total field production from 60,000 to 150,000 barrels per day and gas output from 80 to 200 million cubic feet per day, making the project one of the largest offshore energy developments in West Africa.

TechnipFMC will design and manufacture flexible flowlines and risers to connect wells in water depths of approximately 1,200 meters to a new floating production unit under a contract defined as significant, meaning it is worth between $75 million and $250 million.

Jonathan LandesPresident, Subsea for TechnipFMC, said: “This award marks the continued expansion of our collaboration with Eni. We are excited to apply our expertise to provide a robust flexible pipe solution with schedule certainty in support of this fast-track project.”

The final investment decision (FID) was made for the Baleine Phase 3 development in May. The project entails the development of a new floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) unit, to be delivered by Altera Infrastructure.
