Transitioning to a project manager

For Xiamen ITG Shippingthe contract marks a strategic milestone as it accelerates its transition from a traditional trading service provider to a full lifecycle project manager.

Under this new self-operated business model, the company managed the entire closed-loop acquisition process directly. This included steering the initial client negotiations, securing foreign exchange guarantees, and managing progress payments before issuing the formal construction instructions and coordinating the technical adaptations directly with the domestic shipyard.

The company stated that it intends to use this end-to-end management approach as a blueprint for future large-scale orders, continuing to target the niche multipurpose and special-purpose vessel markets alongside domestic and international partners.
