APS opens tender for contracting waterway passenger transport


Disclosure

The Santos Port Authority (APS) published the electronic bidding notice for the hiring of a company specialized in providing waterway passenger transport services, expanding the support structure for operations carried out in the port complex. The bidding process includes the operation of regular lines and the provision of vessels for the company’s operational and technical demands.

The bid, identified as RLE nº 40/2026 (Process 306/25-97)provides for a contract valid for 30 months. Proposals may be submitted until August 3at 10 am, by companies previously accredited in the system Tenders-efrom Banco do Brasil.

Strategic crossings

The scope of the contract includes the operation of exclusive lines intended for the movement of APS employees on three routes considered strategic for the operation of the Port of Santos:

  • Santos – Guarujá (TEV/Santos Brasil);
  • Santos – Barnabé Island;
  • Bertioga – Village of Itatinga.

In addition to regular crossings, the winning company must make different types of vessels available on demand, such as speedboats, small boats and catamarans.

These services will be used in activities such as:

  • environmental inspections;
  • operational inspections;
  • technical studies;
  • institutional and technical visits to the estuary and the navigation channel of the Port of Santos.

Support for port operations

The contract seeks to ensure greater logistical efficiency in the movement of teams responsible for the administration and supervision of the operational areas of the largest port in Latin America. Water transport is considered essential for access to facilities located on different banks of the Santos estuary, contributing to the agility of operations and to meeting the routine activities of the Port Authority.
