According to Fernandes, Brazil has a robust portfolio of projects capable of attracting national and international investors. However, factors such as regulatory predictability, legal security and technical quality of projects continue to be fundamental to expanding the participation of private capital.

The executive highlighted that the investments needed to modernize the national infrastructure exceed the exclusively public financing capacity, making the participation of the financial market essential.

Concessions, public-private partnerships and issuance of bonds aimed at infrastructure were identified as essential mechanisms to accelerate strategic works.

Fernandes also highlighted the growing interest of foreign investors in the Brazilian port, railway and energy sectors.

The assessment is that the country has characteristics that place it in a privileged position to receive long-term investments.
