APM Terminals highlights innovation and port expansion during Intermodal 2026

A APM Terminals attended the Intermodal South America 2026one of the largest logistics, transport and foreign trade events in Latin America, reinforcing its leading role in the Brazilian port sector.

During the fair, the company presented to the market the advances of its strategic projects, with emphasis on the new terminal in Suape, in Pernambuco, considered one of the most modern developments in the country. The project, which received investments in the order of R$2.1 billionwill be the first container terminal 100% electrified in Latin Americawith operations expected to begin in the second half of 2026.

In an interview given to Integration 5.0 Programthe CEO Daniel Rose highlighted that participation in Intermodal represents a strategic showcase for the company to expand connections with shipowners, customers and logistics partners.

According to Rose, the moment is one of structural transformation in the sector, driven by technology, sustainability and increased operational efficiency. He highlighted that the new Suape terminal was created in line with global demands for decarbonization and port automation.

“We are building a new operational standard for the Brazilian logistics sector, focusing on innovation, sustainability and greater competitiveness for foreign trade”, highlighted the executive during the interview.

In addition to the project in Suape, the company also presented the results of the Pecém terminal, in Ceará, which ended 2025 with a historical movement record, surpassing 706 thousand TEUsconsolidating itself as one of the main logistics hubs in the Northeast.

APM Terminals’ participation in Intermodal reinforces the market’s confidence in the expansion of Brazilian port infrastructure and the potential for growth of operations in the North and Northeast of the country.
