CMA CGM has announced new and revised freight surcharges covering several trade routes connecting Asia with Africa, as well as shipments from Canada’s West Coast to the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East Gulf and Red Sea.

The adjustments include Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) on selected African routes and a Rate Restoration Initiative (RRI03) for shipments originating from western Canada. Implementation dates range from November 10 to December 3, 2026.

CMA CGM will introduce a PSS of US$400 per TEU for all cargo shipped from South China to Mozambique, effective November 10, 2026, based on the loading date. The surcharge will remain in effect until further notice.

The carrier has also announced a revised PSS of US$500 per TEU for dry and reefer cargo moving from Southeast Asia to West Africa.
