According to BYD, the goal is to make technology accessible across its entire line of vehicles, expanding safety and democratizing features that are currently only present in more sophisticated models on the automotive market.
The automaker reported that it has already invested around 100 billion yuan, equivalent to approximately R$75 billion, in research and development aimed at vehicle safety and the evolution of intelligent driving systems.
According to the manufacturer, the project is based on three main objectives: drastically reducing traffic accidents, making assistance systems operate with precision similar to that of an experienced driver and transforming artificial intelligence into a permanent assistant for the driver.
The technology uses a combination of sensors and advanced positioning systems to monitor the environment around the vehicle in real time, enabling fast and accurate responses in different traffic conditions.
The initiative is part of BYD’s global strategy to expand the presence of advanced driving assistance technologies in several international markets. The objective is to offer more safety, comfort and efficiency to consumers who choose the brand’s electric and hybrid vehicles.
The announcement comes at a time of strong growth for the manufacturer in Brazil. In May, BYD reached a historic milestone by surpassing the Volkswagen in retail sales in the Brazilian market, registering almost 15 thousand registered vehicles and consolidating its position among the main automakers in the country.
With the arrival of the God’s Eye system, the company’s expectation is to further strengthen its competitiveness in the national market and accelerate the adoption of smart technologies in urban mobility.
