According to police officers, the group worked with the support of port employees and certifying analysts who defrauded laboratory reports to allow grains mixed with impurities and residues to be sold as products suitable for export.
In the locations investigated, the police seized state-of-the-art cell phones, port movement notebooks, diaries with technical records, simulations, registered weapons and a vehicle used by the group.
During the operation, three men linked to the criminal organization were approached. According to the Civil Police, they worked in different roles in the scheme and, when approached, they collaborated with the teams. They were not arrested.
The operation is part of an offensive that, in the last two weeks, identified three criminal organizations, served 25 warrants in nine municipalities, recovered cargo valued at more than R$1 million and resulted in the judicial blocking of R$15 million.
