Expo Turismo Paraná ends its 30th edition, consolidated as a reference in the sector


A Expo Tourism Paraná 2026 came to an end this Friday in Curitiba after two days of intense activity in the national tourist trade. Carried out in Viasoft Experiencethe event once again consolidated itself as the largest B2B tourism meeting in Paraná and one of the main fairs in the sector in the southern region of Brazil.

The 30th anniversary commemorative edition brought together around 2,000 travel agencies, more than 6,000 tourism professionals and representatives of national and international destinations, operators, airlines, hotel chains and sector entities.

Promoted by ABAV-PR in partnership with the Paraná Department of Tourism, the fair featured business rounds, institutional presentations, gastronomic experiences, training and panels focused on the development of Brazilian tourism.

During the official opening, sector leaders highlighted the growth of tourist activity in Paraná and the economic impact generated by the segment. The mayor of Curitiba, Eduardo Pimentelstated that tourism has increased its participation in the state economy, driven by the integration between the public sector and the private sector.

The state secretary of Tourism, Luciano Bartholomewhighlighted that the event reinforces the role of tourism as a strategic tool for economic development and promotion of regional destinations.

The program also focused on professional development. According to the organization, the expectation was to generate more than 4 thousand informal certifications over the two days of the event, offering training and specialized content for travel agents and tour operators.

Several brands from the sector were present at the fair, including Azul, MSC Cruises, South African Airwaysin addition to representatives from Paraguay, Santa Catarina, Bahia and Foz do Iguaçu.

The 2026 edition reinforced the expansion of regional tourism and the resumption of the events and corporate travel sector, consolidating Expo Turismo Paraná as an important showcase for business, networking and destination promotion.

With the closure of the fair, the expectations of the tourist trade are now turning to the 2027 edition, which is expected to maintain the growth rate observed in recent years.
