Galeão Airport goes up for auction this Monday (30)
The Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPor) will hold this Monday (30) the auction of Galeão International Airport (RJ), at the headquarters of B3, in São Paulo. The initial bid to purchase the terminal operation will be at least R$932 million and must be paid in cash. Minister Silvio Costa Filho participates in the event.

The company that wins the auction must undertake to pay the Union an annual variable contribution corresponding to 20% of the concession’s gross revenue until 2039. In addition, it will be the sole controller of the terminal, as the agreement with the Federal Audit Court (TCU) provides for the end of Infraero’s shareholding.
The Galeão Airport assisted sales auction is the result of a consensual solution approved by the TCU, through the Secretariat for External Control of Consensual Solution and Conflict Prevention (Secex Consenso). The approved agreement promoted the economic-financial rebalancing of the concession and incorporated clauses aligned with the most recent contracts in the sector.
Press service
Press professionals will be able to follow the auction online, on TV B3, or in person, with prior accreditation via email [email protected]. At the end of the ceremony, minister Silvio Costa Filho will speak to the journalists present.
