The meeting, considered strategic for the future of the port infrastructure of the largest port in Latin America, should be held in a hybrid format, with in-person participation in Brasília, at the agency’s headquarters building, in addition to transmission for remote participation.
In addition to postponing the hearing, Antaq also announced the extension of the deadline for sending contributions, suggestions and subsidies from interested parties. Now, companies, experts, sector representatives and civil society will be able to submit their manifestations until the day July 1, 2026.
The measure increases the time for analysis and participation of agents involved in one of the most relevant projects for national port logistics. The concession of the access channel to the Port of Santos is seen by the sector as an important step towards operational modernization, increased efficiency and expansion of vessel navigation and maneuvering capacity.
Jornal Portuário will continue to monitor the next developments and the announcement of the new date for the public hearing.
