DP World opens registrations for women from Baixada Santista in port training program

A DP World announced the opening of registration for the program “They in Operation”an initiative aimed at training and professional development of women interested in entering the port and logistics sector. In this new phase, the project will also serve women from Santos and the entire Baixada Santista, expanding its reach and reinforcing the company’s commitment to female inclusion in operations.

Previously restricted to the internal public, the program now offers eight vacancies for training of internal container handling trailer (ITV) operators. The expansion consolidates, under a single name, the multinational’s actions aimed at qualifying women for operational roles within the terminal.
Com total workload of 40 hoursdistributed in four-hour meetings, the course will combine technical training and behavioral developmentfocusing on port operations and preparation for job interviews. Among the highlights of the training are the activities in simulator and practical experienceproviding participants with an experience close to the real terminal routine.
Classes will be taught by professionals from the company itself, including instructors specialized in Portêner, RTG (Rubber Turret Gantry) e ITV (Internal Transfer Vehicle)connecting theory and operational practice with day-to-day experience at ports.
At the end of the program, participants will receive certificate of completionstrengthening professional qualifications and expanding possibilities for entry into the job market, especially in a sector that continues to expand and with growing demand for specialized labor.
To participate, you must have National Driving License (CNH) category E and the course MOPP (Operational Movement of Dangerous Products). Registration is free, and classes are scheduled to begin on the same day. June 8in the morning.
The initiative reinforces a movement already observed at the company’s terminal in Santos. Since the beginning of operations in 2013, the female presence has grown significantly, with an increase of more than 228%according to recent data released by the company. Currently, more than half of the company’s women work in operational roles.
DP World emphasizes that completing the program does not guarantee immediate hiring, but it enables participants to compete for vacancies in the port and logistics sector, expanding career opportunities for women in the region.
