Manaus boosts the protagonism of the river industry in the opening of NN Logística 2026

Event begins with record participation and reinforces the capital of Amazonas as the main river logistics hub in Latin America, consolidating its strategic relevance in the sector in 2026

Manaus has a historic start for NN Logística 2026. On the first day, the largest river industry fair in Latin America exceeded expectations and confirmed the leading role of the capital of Amazonas as a strategic center for the country’s logistics decisions. Held at the Vasco Vasques Convention Center, the event brings together more than seven thousand visitors, one hundred exhibitors and around 400 national and international brands, consolidating itself as a true hub of business, innovation and institutional coordination for the sector.

The intense movement surprised even the organization. According to the fair’s creator, David Semeguini, the public arrived earlier than expected.

“In fact, it really exceeded our expectations, because we imagined a greater movement from the end of the afternoon onwards. And we were surprised to see the fair already crowded, with more and more people arriving. This volume of visitors visiting the stands shows the strength of the event”, he highlighted.

The creator also reinforced the diversity of the audience and companies present.

“We have one hundred exhibitors and more than four hundred brands, with national and international participation. It is a very comprehensive event, which brings together everything from paint companies, shipyards and engines to logistics and navigation. The entire river logistics ecosystem is here”, he highlighted.

Business environment and innovation

The first day also highlighted the fair’s potential as a business generator. For Constantino Lannes, CEO of Sennebogen, the move already indicates concrete results.

“We are very satisfied. Last year we already closed and lined up deals, and this year the movement is even better. Since the first day we have seen a strong presence of businesspeople and industry, with a direct interest in our products, especially in the movement of cereals in the North. We brought high-tech equipment, but simple to maintain, ideal for a remote region like the Amazon, working in the transshipment of grains and fertilizers”, he said.

Growth of the sector and investments in Arco Norte

The expansion of river logistics in the region was also a recurring theme among participants. Daniel Andrade, river segment manager at Sotreq, highlighted the evolution of the event and the market.

“The fair has been growing every year, with a more qualified audience. It is an opportunity to meet customers, strengthen relationships and advance discussions in the sector. Arco Norte continues to expand, and we follow this with a presence in Manaus, Belém, Porto Velho and Itaituba. We also present solutions such as equipment monitoring, which improves management and adds value to operations”, he said while also highlighting the company’s strategic positioning.

Essential logistics and energy security

The importance of river logistics for supplying the region was also reinforced by Cássio Lopes Guimarães, Cabotage Ship Operations Manager at Transpetro.

“We have a strategic responsibility in the transportation of fuel. Today, we have a robust structure, including ships that operate in the Amazon, essential for local supply. In 2024, even with a severe drought, we managed to maintain supply, delivering more than 16 thousand tons of LPG in partnership with the Navy and Petrobras. This shows the strength of integrated action”, he said.

Institutional role and regional development

The Brazilian Navy also highlighted its role in the development of navigation and the regional economy. Rear Admiral Sérgio Tadeu, Chief of Staff of the 9th Naval District Command, emphasized the importance of the event.

“More than a logistical meeting, this is a space for building solutions. The Navy not only acts as a regulator, but as a partner in regional development. Navigation is essential for the region, and events like this strengthen dialogue on topics such as cabotage, transport and shipbuilding”, he said.

Resilience and Amazon protagonism

Representing one of the main players at the event, Marcello Di Gregorio, from Super Terminais, highlighted the historical role of the region.

“The North is resilient. This is the word that defines Amazonas. It is a region that reinvents itself and grows, even in the face of challenges. These dialogues are fundamental, especially in the waterway context. Rivers are an essential part of our reality and our development”, he said.

Within the program, the “Hydroviable Dialogues” forum has already established itself as one of the main spaces for technical and institutional debate in the country, addressing topics such as public policies, sustainability, fleet modernization and climate impacts.

On the second day of the event, the program continues with strategic panels:

2:30 pm – Development of public policy on inland navigation, mediated by Adalberto Tokarski
3pm – Climate crisis and adaptations in river navigation, with the participation of Renildo Barros (ANTAQ)
4:30 pm – Manaus Moderna: design, execution and projections, mediated by Dodó Carvalho
