In addition to knitting, the municipality is also nationally recognized for the artisanal production of traditional blue and white porcelain, considered one of the main local tourist attractions.

During Empreenda Sim, sector representatives highlighted the importance of business qualification to maintain business competitiveness and strengthen regional tourism.

The expectation is that the events and festivals held throughout the year will continue to boost the city’s economic development and increase job creation.

For the CEO of WordCom Brasil and creator of Empreende Sim, André Ursinitaking the event to Monte Sião represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen one of the most entrepreneurial cities in the country.

“We chose Monte Sião because we found a natural vocation for entrepreneurship here. We are talking about the National Capital of Knitting, a city that generates jobs, produces, exports and moves the economy through thousands of small businesses. Empreenda Sim was born precisely to bring knowledge, innovation and practical tools to those who are entrepreneurship and want to grow. When we train a small entrepreneur, we are strengthening the entire local economy”, highlighted Ursini.

According to the executive, the objective of the project is to democratize access to information and professional qualifications, taking experts and high-level content to cities that have strong economic potential, but which are often far from large business training centers.

“Small and medium-sized entrepreneurs are responsible for a large part of job creation in Brazil. Therefore, we need to bring knowledge about sales, artificial intelligence, financial education, marketing and management to these people. Monte Sião is an example of a city that grows through work and innovation, and we want to contribute to making this growth even greater in the coming years”, he stated.

Ursini also highlighted that the success of the first edition paves the way for new Empreenda Sim actions in different regions of the country, strengthening entrepreneurship as a tool for economic and social development.
