The new structure’s main objective will be to coordinate the institutional relationship between the group’s companies and public authorities, at a time considered strategic for MSC’s operations in the Brazilian market.

With a 25-year history in federal public administration, Eduardo Nery brings extensive experience in regulation and infrastructure. He was general director of National Waterway Transport Agency between 2020 and 2025, in addition to having worked for more than two decades in Union Court of Auditors. A civil engineer, he currently also serves as executive director of InfraNery Consultoria.

According to MSC, the creation of the new board is part of a strategy to strengthen institutional engagement with the public sector, ensuring greater regulatory alignment and predictability in a scenario of expanding operations in Brazil.

The general director of MSC in the country, Elber Alves Justohighlighted the importance of the arrival of the new executive. “We welcome Eduardo Nery and are confident that his experience will contribute significantly to strengthening regulation and improving public policies for the waterway sector,” he stated.

Upon taking office, Nery highlighted the company’s strategic moment in Brazil. “I arrive at this new challenge at a time when MSC is consistently expanding its presence in the country, with increasing investments in integrated logistics, in the port sector and in the cruise segment”, he declared.

The move reinforces MSC’s strategy of consolidating its operations in Brazil, expanding investments and strengthening its dialogue with public authorities, in line with the growth of the national port and logistics sector.
