ONE, CMA CGM and Cosco Shipping announced changes to service between the US East Coast and South American West Coast

The shipowners Ocean Network Express (ONE), CMA CGM e Cosco Shipping announced a strategic reconfiguration of their joint service that connects the east coast of the United States to the west coast of South America (WCSA). The route, known as Americas XL, NEWS or FLX, will undergo relevant operational adjustments in the next stops.

The main change is the inclusion of the port of Port of Charlestonin the United States, while the scales in Port of Buenaventura e Pisco Port were removed from the route.
With the new configuration in the North-South direction, the service starts to operate with stopovers in Port EvergladesPhiladelphia, New York and Charleston, in the United States, in addition to Port of Cartagena, Port of Guayaquil, Port of Callao e Port of San Antonioin South America.
In the opposite direction, dockings will be made in Callao, Guayaquil and Cartagena, returning to the United States via Port Everglades, consolidating a leaner and more strategic network.
According to the companies, the service will continue to operate on a weekly basis, maintaining the use of six vessels with a capacity between 2,200 and 3,500 TEUs, ensuring regular cargo transport between markets.
The reconfiguration reflects logistical adjustments in the face of commercial and operational demands, in addition to seeking greater route efficiency and cost optimization, in a global scenario still marked by instabilities and the need for constant adaptation in the maritime sector.
