The port authority explained that the vessel MH Buiki brought the product from the Madre de Deus Maritime Terminal (Temadre), operated by Transpetro, in Bahia. According to APS, the operation was completed on March 30, with the unloading of 17,974 tons of type A gasoline at the Alamoa Liquid Bulk Terminal (Tegla), in Santos.
The president of APS, Anderson Pomini, said that, as it is a public terminal, it is the Port of Santos’ obligation to assess the country’s needs and allow, after analysis, vessels to have priority under specific conditions.
“APS analyzed the request from a distributor and, given the risk of fuel shortages in São Paulo, authorized the priority entry of MH Buiki,” stated Pomini.
