Santos hosts the 21st edition of the International Coffee Seminar with a focus on market, logistics and innovation

The city of Santos will once again be the stage for one of the most important meetings in the Brazilian and international coffee sector with the XXV International Coffee Seminar. The event will bring together producers, exporters, experts, authorities and representatives of the logistics chain to debate the main challenges and trends in the global coffee market.

Historically linked to the economic development of coffee in Brazil, Santos maintains a strategic role in the sector due to the importance of the Port of Santos for coffee exports. The municipality concentrates a large part of the national coffee movement, in addition to preserving a strong historical heritage related to the coffee cycle, especially in the Historic Center and in the region of the former Official Coffee Exchange.

The seminar program should address topics considered fundamental to the future of the market, including sustainability, traceability, technological innovation, the international economic scenario, port logistics and the impacts of climate fluctuations on global production.

Another highlight will be the discussion on logistics infrastructure and Brazil’s competitiveness in international trade. The Port of Santos remains the country’s main coffee export corridor, being responsible for a large part of the flow destined for markets in Europe, Asia and North America.

Experts must also discuss advances in the digitalization of the coffee chain, new marketing models and environmental requirements increasingly present in the foreign market. The sector’s expectation is to strengthen trade relations and expand opportunities for Brazilian producers and exporters.

In addition to its economic relevance, the event reinforces Santos’ historical connection with coffee, an activity that boosted the city’s growth and directly contributed to the expansion of the Port of Santos throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.

The seminar should attract participants from different regions of Brazil and abroad, consolidating Santos once again as an international reference when it comes to coffee, foreign trade and port logistics.
