Suape will have the first 100% electrified terminal in Latin America

In an interview given to Port Newspapertoday in Integration 5.0 ProgramCEO Daniel Rose confirmed one of the most relevant announcements of Intermodal 2026: the completion of the first phase of the new terminal Port of Suape.

The venture will be the first fully electrified terminal in Latin Americaconsolidating a new milestone for sustainable port infrastructure on the continent.
The first phase received investment from R$2.1 billionwith full start-up expected by August this year.
According to management, the new structure will expand 55% terminal operational capacityreaching 400 thousand TEUs in this initial stage.
Phase two is already underway and should increase capacity to 600 thousand TEUs by 2028with a future projection of reaching 1 million TEUs.
In addition to the logistical impact, the project is expected to generate hundreds of direct and indirect jobs, strengthening the regional economy and positioning the Northeast as a new strategic axis for national logistics.
