Pacific International Lines (PIL) has officially opened a new office in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, strengthening its presence in West Africa and supporting the country’s growing trade and logistics sector.
The inauguration follows the relocation of PIL’s local agency earlier this year. The opening ceremony brought together customers, logistics partners, banking institutions, port and terminal representatives, and customs authorities.
PIL said the new office reinforces its long-standing commitment to Africa, where the carrier has operated since the 1970s.
The company provides container shipping, reefer transport, logistics and supply chain solutions, connecting businesses in Côte d’Ivoire with global markets through its international network.
PIL is also expanding its South West Africa Service (SWS) to support growing trade between Asia and West Africa.
The carrier is deploying newer vessels with capacities of up to 8,000 TEUs on the service. The larger ships will offer increased capacity, stronger connectivity and more efficient transport options for customers.
PIL said the investment reflects its commitment to supporting Côte d’Ivoire, one of West Africa’s fastest-growing economies, and helping customers capture new regional and international trade opportunities.
