The deepening of the Port of Santos channel will be done 14 years after the last work, when the depth was increased to 15 meters. During this period, ships evolved and required greater draft. With this work, APS aims to guarantee better infrastructure for users of the port complex.
The company that will carry out the in-depth analysis is Jan de Nul do Brasil. The value is R$617.9 million, for a period of five years of works. The contract also provides for maintenance dredging of the new gauge for a period of two years.
