São Vicente offers free course on health and safety in port work

Residents of São Vicente will be able to enroll from June 16th in the free preparatory course on Fundamentals of Health and Safety in Port Work (NR-29). 30 places will be available and the course will have a total workload of 20 hours.

The training will be held between the 13th and 17th of July, from Monday to Friday, from 6pm to 10pm, at the Municipal Administrative Complex (CAM I), located at Rua José Bonifácio, 404, in the Center.

Registration must be made in person at CAM I, in room 84 on the 8th floor, from 9am to 4pm, starting on June 16th, and will remain open until all vacancies are filled. The necessary requirements for participation are: being 18 years old or over and presenting copies of your ID, CPF and proof of residence.

The course is promoted by the Secretariat of Employment, Work and Income (Setre), in partnership with the CENEP Foundation (Santos Port Excellence Center) and the Santos Port Authority (APS).

The training aims to present fundamentals linked to health and safety in the port environment, addressing the guidelines set out in Regulatory Standard 29 (NR-29), which establishes measures to prevent accidents and occupational diseases in the sector. The content consists of guidance on risk management in operations carried out both on board and on land, covering organized ports, private facilities and backport terminals.

The initiative is part of the actions developed by Setre aimed at professional qualification of the population, especially in strategic areas linked to the growth of the port and logistics sectors in the region, expanding opportunities for insertion into the job market.
