Cruise season 2025/2026 ends with a 20% drop in the number of passengers

The cruise season 2025/2026 at the Giusfredo Santini Cruise Terminal, the Concaisin the Port of Santos, was closed with a reduction in 20% in the number of passengers compared to the previous cycle.

According to the terminal administration, throughout 95 days of operationpassed by the place 14 shipswhich carried out 134 scalesresulting in approximately 380 thousand shipments and a total movement of approximately 830 thousand peopleamong passengers, tourists in transit, crew and visitors.
Even with the reduction in flow, the economic impact on the Baixada Santista was significant, reaching R$ 1.2 billionboosting sectors such as hotels, gastronomy, transport, commerce and services linked to regional tourism.
Among the ships that operated regularly during the season were MSC Seaview, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Preziosa, Fabulous Coast e Costa Diademaresponsible for most scales.
The terminal also received international vessels in transit, such as Seven Seas Splendor, Celebrity Equinox e Azamara Questreinforcing Santos’ position as the main gateway for maritime tourism in the country.
Com 58% of national shipmentsthe Port of Santos maintained its leadership among Brazilian terminals during the season, consolidating its strategic relevance for the cruise sector.
Concais operations manager, Javier Carnevale, highlighted that, despite the drop in the number of passengers, the terminal continued to be an important generator of jobs and income for the region.
For the season 2026/2027the expectation is for it to return to levels recorded in 2024/2025. Ship operations are already planned MSC Virtuosa, MSC Divina, MSC Musicain addition to the debut of Good Viewfrom the shipping company Corazul.
