Santos receives the first stage of ENIP 2026 with debates on infrastructure, logistics and competitiveness

Santos once again occupied a prominent position on the national scene by hosting, on June 12th, the first stage of the National Port Industry Meeting (ENIP) 2026. The event brought together authorities, executives, experts and representatives of the port community to debate solutions aimed at strengthening integration between industry, ports and Brazilian logistics infrastructure.
With special coverage provided by Port Newspaper and by Bandthe meeting was consolidated as an important space for the construction of proposals that aim to increase the country’s competitiveness and prepare the sector for the challenges of the coming decades.

Throughout the program, participants highlighted the relevance of the Port of Santos as the main link between national production and the international market. Responsible for moving a large part of the Brazilian trade balance, the Santos complex was identified as a fundamental piece for economic growth and the expansion of Brazilian exports.
Among the main topics discussed was the need to accelerate investments in infrastructure. Strategic projects such as Santos-Guarujá Tunnel and the Terminal Tecon Santos 10 (STS10) They were presented as fundamental initiatives to expand the port’s operational capacity, reduce logistical bottlenecks and ensure greater efficiency in cargo transportation.
Another highlight was the defense of a State policy for the infrastructure sector. The speakers highlighted the importance of ensuring legal predictability, regulatory security and continuity of investments, regardless of government changes. According to participants, only with long-term planning will it be possible to meet the growing demand from industry and foreign trade.
Technological innovation also gained space in the debates. Experts highlighted the use of artificial intelligence, data analysis and digitalization of processes as tools capable of increasing operational efficiency and promoting greater integration between different modes of transport.
Agendas linked to sustainability and ESG practices were also present during the meeting. The decarbonization of port operations, the use of cleaner energy sources and the search for environmentally responsible processes were highlighted as essential factors in maintaining the competitiveness of the Port of Santos on the global stage.
Another consensus among participants was the need to expand integration between the municipalities of Baixada Santista and the port complex. The modernization of urban infrastructure, the improvement of road and rail access and the strengthening of regional governance were presented as indispensable elements for the port’s growth to generate benefits for the entire region.
The Santos stage of ENIP 2026 reaffirmed the importance of cooperation between the public sector and the private sector to build solutions that boost Brazilian economic development. By bringing together different agents from the logistics and industrial chain, the meeting established itself as one of the main forums for discussion on the future of ports and national infrastructure.
